Finance Assistant – Sales Ledger (Part-Time)
Newark (Hybrid – Minimum 3 days office-based)
£27,000 (Pro Rata)
Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Finance Assistant – Sales Ledger to join a busy and fast-paced finance team on a part-time basis.
This role offers flexible working hours, with days and start/finish times open to discussion, alongside a requirement of a minimum of 3 days per week in the office (Newark).
You will be responsible for raising invoices, managing credit control, and supporting month-end processes, while working closely with internal stakeholders and clients to ensure accurate and timely financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Raising and processing sales invoices
- Managing invoice queries and liaising with clients
- Chasing outstanding payments and issuing statements
- Maintaining accurate financial records and reconciliations
- Supporting month-end and year-end processes
- Assisting with reporting and ad-hoc finance tasks
Requirements
- Previous experience in a finance or accounts role
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Experience with accounting systems (Oracle desirable)
