Job Description

Macildowie are currently recruiting for a Commercial Account Handler to join a well established company based in Nottingham. As a valued member of the commercial broking team in Nottingham, your role revolves around delivering top-tier customer service and maintaining technical excellence. You will handle inquiries from commercial clients, assist with renewals, and support new business transactions.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage new business inquiries and client renewals, including the re-marketing of policies and the issuance of renewal documentation in adherence to FCA guidelines.
  • Skillfully address incoming client queries related to policy coverage and requested changes.
  • Foster relationships with key insurer markets.
  • Collaborate closely with the field sales team (account executives) and the broader team to provide comprehensive broking services and contribute to the preparation of client reports.
  • Identify opportunities for cross-selling and up-selling to existing clients.
  • Play an integral role in achieving the team's revenue goals, with a focus on both renewal retention and new business acquisition.


Success Metrics:

  • Consistent achievement of objectives, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and targets.
  • Completion of mandatory training and engagement in Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
  • Feedback collection from customers, stakeholders, and colleagues.
  • Consistent demonstration of our organisational values and behaviours.


Qualifications and Skills:

  • Private Lines (Motor) account handling experience.

Experience:

  • Prior experience in commercial account handling.
  • Skills, Knowledge, and Aptitude:
  • Proficiency in commercial insurance spanning multiple classes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective negotiation abilities.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a knack for sales.
  • Familiarity with Acturis (not mandatory but beneficial).
  • An interest in motor sport (preferred but not mandatory).

Qualifications and Training:

Cert CII qualification (not mandatory but a willingness to work toward it).
