Job Description

Macildowie are currently recruiting for a Special Vehicle Account Handler to join a well established business in Nottingham. As a key member of an accomplished SV broking team, you will be based in Nottingham, providing exceptional customer service and maintaining the highest standards of technical excellence. Your responsibilities will centre around addressing day-to-day inquiries from clients, facilitating renewals, and conducting new business transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Skilfully manage new business inquiries and client renewals, including potential policy re-marketing, and ensure timely issuance of renewal documentation in strict accordance with FCA guidelines.
  • Address incoming client queries concerning policy coverage and requested changes.
  • Cultivate and nurture relationships with critical insurer markets.
  • Identify opportunities for cross-selling and up-selling to existing clients, identifying potential gaps in coverage or policies held elsewhere.
  • Contribute actively to the achievement of team revenue targets, spanning renewal retention and new business acquisition.

Key Success Indicators:

  • Achievement of objectives, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and targets.
  • Completion of mandatory training and active engagement in Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
  • Sourcing valuable feedback from customers, stakeholders, and colleagues.
  • Demonstrating and embodying our organisational values and behavioural principles.

Experience:

  • Prior experience in Private Lines (Motor) account handling.

Skills, Knowledge, and Aptitude:

  • Proficiency in Private Lines (Motor) insurance across multiple classes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective negotiation skills.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a natural inclination toward sales.
  • Familiarity with Acturis (not mandatory but beneficial).
  • An interest in motor sport (preferred but not mandatory).

Qualifications and Training:

  • Cert CII qualification (not mandatory, but a willingness to work toward it).
