Customer Service Advisor

Barwell, office based

09;00 - 17:00, Monday to Friday

Up to £26,000

Macildowie are looking for a reliable and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to join our clients busy office team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, has strong attention to detail, and is confident speaking with customers over the phone and via email. You will play a key part in supporting the customer service and sales administration functions, ensuring customer orders are processed smoothly and efficiently from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

As part of the Customer Service team, your duties will include:

  • Inputting and processing customer orders accurately, efficiently and in a timely manner.
  • Answering incoming phone calls and assisting customers with enquiries
  • Responding to customer service emails in a timely and professional manner
  • Producing Irish commercial invoices and supporting invoicing tasks
  • Managing post and general office correspondence
  • Handling trade account applications and supporting customer onboarding
  • Upselling and contacting customers regarding their orders where appropriate
  • Processing credits and resolving account/order queries
  • Chasing proforma invoices and supporting payment follow-ups
  • Monitoring live orders, back orders, and managing out-of-stock reporting
  • Updating and maintaining out-of-stock spreadsheets
  • Supporting the team by covering staff during holidays and absences
  • Completing ad-hoc administrative tasks as required

Skills & Experience Required

  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy environment
  • A professional and helpful telephone manner
  • Experience using Outlook, Excel, Sage, and other office software
  • Knowledge of sales administration processes
  • Basic understanding of Excel
  • Previous experience in a busy office setting
  • Experience in customer service and/or soft telephone sales
