Macildowie Recruitment & Retention - Data, BI & MI Analytics
Commercial Data Analyst - Up to £35,000 - Leicester
Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm - Permanent

Macildowie Data Analytics is delighted to have partnered exclusively with a well-established and leading food retail organisation based in Leicester.


The key objective is to hold a minimum of 2 years of commercial experience as a Data Analyst or equivalent, producing compelling and user-engaging BI reports through PowerBI.

Main Responsibilities

  • Track campaigns and incorporating ROI data.
  • Identify trends and issues as well as creating purposeful BI/MI and automated dashboards that help our clients business evaluate sales/marketing performance.
  • Craft appropriate value-adding commentary helping our client identify gaps and explore.
  • Creating new purposeful BI/MI for both sales and other business units on a weekly, monthly basis using PowerBI or other reporting tools such as Tableau.
  • Providing regular commentary and insight, ensuring all BI/MI produced tells a story and is easy for users to digest and access.
  • Nurture and produce compelling BI/MI, capable of visually directing the user towards key trends in conversions, performance, and ROI.
  • Working closely with our clients sales team and collaborate with stakeholders providing them with insight and direction as a key business partner.


The Candidate

  • Previous experience operating as a Data Analyst or in a similar position.
  • Ability to create meaningful, clear dashboards with appropriate value-adding commentary.
  • Proficient in using data reporting tools such PowerBI and Excel.
  • Able to commute to Leicester.
  • Comfortable working and manipulating large data sets.
  • Excellent communication skills.
