Credit & Risk Analyst - £29,000 - £35,000 - Solihull

Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5pm - Hybrid Working Available

Macildowie has exclusively partnered with a financial services organisation to recruit a Credit & Risk Analyst.

You will play a pivotal role in assessing creditworthiness, mitigating risk, and ensuring the responsible allocation of credit. You will be responsible for evaluating the financial health of individuals and businesses, analysing credit applications, and developing strategies to manage and reduce credit risk.

Main Responsibilities

  • Evaluate credit applications and conduct in-depth financial analyses to determine creditworthiness.
  • Assess the financial stability and credit risk of individuals and businesses.
  • Review and analyse credit reports, financial statements, and other relevant documents.
  • Develop and implement credit risk assessment models and strategies.
  • Monitor and manage the performance of existing credit portfolios.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to make credit decisions and develop risk mitigation plans.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to credit and risk management.
  • Provide recommendations for improving credit policies and procedures.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management.

The Candidate

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related qualification.
  • Experience as a Credit and Risk Analyst or similar role in the financial services industry.
  • Proficient analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Knowledge of credit risk assessment models and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to credit and risk management.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Conscientious with a great commitment to accuracy.
  • Exposure to SalesForce or Moody's - Desirable.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
