Job Description:

I am seeking an experienced and motivated Audit Senior to join their Nottingham office. In this role, you will play a crucial part in our audit engagement teams, overseeing audit and assurance engagements from planning to completion. As an Audit Senior, you will work closely with our clients, understanding their business operations, assessing risks, and providing valuable insights to help them achieve their financial and operational objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage audit engagements, including planning, fieldwork, and reporting phases.
  • Collaborate with engagement partners and managers to understand client needs and expectations.
  • Perform risk assessments and develop audit strategies to ensure effective and efficient audit execution.
  • Supervise and guide junior audit team members, providing support and training as needed.
  • Review financial statements and audit reports prepared by team members.
  • Conduct thorough analysis of client financial data, transactions, and internal controls.
  • Identify potential audit issues and recommend practical solutions to clients.
  • Stay updated on relevant accounting standards, regulations, and industry trends.
  • Foster strong client relationships through clear communication and exceptional service delivery.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of audit methodologies and processes.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • ACA or ACCA Qualified
  • 5 or more years of practice experience
  • 3 years of relevant audit experience within practice
  • Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and auditing standards.
  • Proficiency in using audit software and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • High levels of accuracy with a commitment to producing consicse and high-quality work.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • Strong project management capabilities, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
