They are currently seeking a highly skilled Management Accountant to join the team, you will play a vital role in managing our financial operations, providing valuable insights through data analysis, and supporting strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Monthly production of management accounts and conducting balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Prepare financial statements and reports for senior management, providing accurate and insightful information.
  • Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, potential risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with managers to develop and manage budgets for their respective departments.
  • Review and analyse costs and expenses, identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Proactively conduct market analysis to identify updates to systems and processes.
  • Provide financial advice and guidance to senior management, supporting strategic decision-making.
  • Assist in year-end accounts preparation.
  • Take ownership of quarterly VAT returns.
  • Manage the fixed asset register and perform monthly depreciation calculations.

Requirements

  • Qualified/part qualified (AAT, ACCA, CIMA, ACA) with a strong background in management accounting.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in management accounting.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a small finance team.
  • Proficient in preparing financial statements, reports, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Sound knowledge of budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Familiarity with financial policies, procedures, and compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Strong communication skills to present financial reports to senior management effectively.
  • Proactive approach to conducting market analysis and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Experience in year-end accounts preparation and VAT returns management.
  • Competency in managing a fixed asset register and monthly depreciation calculations.
