Macildowie are pleased to be working with a successful business based in Coventry who are looking to add a motivated Accounts Payable assistant to their dynamic finance team.

Position: Accounts Assistant- Purchase Ledger

Type: Full-Time, Temporary

Hourly rate: £13-15 per hour depending on experience

About the Role:

As an Accounts Payable Assistant you will ensure that payments for all parts of the business are made within appropriate timescales and within relevant payment terms.

Duties include

• Process invoices, ensuring accurate data entry into the ledger
• Prepare reconciliations and supplier statements where necessary
• Management of Direct debit payments
• Monitor unauthorised invoices, ensuring these can be traced and queries resolved quickly
• Liaise with vendors and suppliers to resolve any payment discrepancies
• Collaborate with the other Purchase Ledger and financial colleagues to ensure proper financial documentation.

Requirements:

• Proven experience of purchase ledger including high volume of invoices
• Good understanding of the finance function
• Understanding of Purchase Ledger/Accounts systems and software
• Excellent organisation and time management
