Our retained client a vibrant circa £25m turnover SME production and manufacturing business based in Wellingborough is currently looking to appoint a new and technically strong Financial Controller

As well as ensuring the smooth operational running of a well-functioning finance team, this role will also be the steward of tight financial controls, governance and risk reduction, you will also assume responsibility for overseeing financial accounting, financial reporting, budgeting and year-end activities, company secretarial, taxation and banking matters as well as to be the lead project sponsor for the upgrade and integration of new finance and ERP systems.

The successful candidate will have already established themselves as a thorough and diligent financial controller / finance manager / group accountant and will also be able to demonstrate strong business partnering skills with a particular focus on adding value, driving performance and helping their business to position itself in the most profitable and growth geared direction.

Essential to this role is a current or previous background in manufacturing or engineering as is having strong financial accounting skills, solid cash-flow reporting experience and the ability to understand and operate in an often complex divisional and subsidiary group environment.
