Macildowie are delighted to be working in partnership with a Local Authority in the North West to appoint a Systems Accountant to provide financial, systems and technical support to the team.

This role does not need a systems expert but a candidate with a strong background in finance and accounting, ideally AAT qualified or equivalent, with strong system experience and keen to utilise and develop these skills within a local authority - although you do not need to have previous experience from within the Local Government.

• Reporting into the Finance Manager, your post will include
• Providing systems and financial support to the wider finance team
• Training and updating users on systems developments
• Providing financial reports in line with requests from the finance team
• Supporting the DS151 with administering the systems
• Using your financial knowledge to make recommendations to improve systems performance
• User acceptance testing
• Assisting with system upgrades and developments

This post would suit an Assistant Accountant, Finance Assistant or equivalent with strong systems knowledge and a desire to develop in this area and you will receive full training and development.
