Assistant Accountant - Interim/Temporary

Our client is a successful and established South Leicestershire and we are currently recruiting an Assistant Accountant to join their finance team on an interim basis for minimum of 4 months. As Assistant Accountant, this role is working in a small and friendly finance team reporting into the FC and supporting the Management Accountant in preparing the management accounts plus also assisting in the general accounting function. Note: they would also consider someone who has more experience in accounting who may be interested to support them!

Responsibilities will include:

• Assisting in the preparation of the monthly management accounts
• Supporting with VAT returns & Bank reconciliation
• Analysis
• Fixed Assets
• Helping with budgeting and forecasting
• Supporting with year end

Experience required:

• Previous accounting experience is essential with experience of management accounting
• Strong Excel skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
