Finance Director | Long Eaton | £90,000 - £110,000

Exciting role for an ambitious Financial Controller looking for their first move into Finance Directorship or for a relatively 'new' FD looking for another challenge in a very fast moving, project focused role.

This is an every changing industry full of exciting projects and needs an enthusiastic and capable Finance Director to run the day to day finance team alongside the Managing Director.

Lots of exposure and help offered from a Group level as well, but the successful candidate will need to be comfortable in a Manufacturing environment with a background in project accounting to really make this their own.

Key responsibilities:

• Work in partnership with the Group CFO and Managing Director to drive the growth and performance of the business. Contribute to the strategic direction of the overall business as a key member of the management team.
• Co-ordinate the planning process, incorporating financial planning for potential acquisitions and expansion plans.
• Ensure the accuracy, integrity and timeliness of financial reporting and ensure compliance with any relevant reporting standards.
• Report financial results and output to the Group ensuring a good level of interaction.
• Contribute to Business Development and/or local M&A activities with a major focus on optimal post-merger integration, in coordination with the Group.
• Understand the company business model for generating value and translate the operational metrics into key performance indicators.
• Provide a framework to influence and shape commercial decision-making. Ensure full analysis is carried out to highlight trends, predict opportunities, and identify risks.
• Clearly articulate the financial performance of the business.

Key Candidate Experience:

• Ability to effectively partner with the Managing Director.
• Strong P&L and cash ownership.
• Ability to drive the business performance and growth.
• Strong financial planning and analysis expertise.
• Experience in a manufacturing project environment.
• Understanding of advanced accounting, regulatory issues, and tax planning.
