Management Accountant - Rugby - Office based - £55m turnover business

Macildowie Finance are working with a brilliant, Private Equity backed logistics business to recruit for a Management Accountant to join their finance team based at their Head Office in Rugby. The Head Office will be moving to Crick in the coming months so candidates must be able to travel to the new location as well as their current base.

This role holds a wide variety of responsibilities including the accounting, reporting and control functions for specific entities within the wider business. You will have the opportunity to take ownership of the management accounts, and work within a wider finance team where you will be able to both gain and provide support to other colleagues.

Some of the responsibilities include:

• Monthly reporting preparation to trial balance
• Aspects of management accounting including: accruals, prepayments, journal postings, period end ledger closing
• Monitoring of cash flow
• Intercompany reconciliations

The ideal candidate will be/have:

• Experience working with management accounts
• Strong understanding of accounting processes
• The ability to use own initiative to support the wider team
• Knowledge of accounting systems
