Macildowie Finance are excited to be working with a brilliant financial services business based in Loughborough to recruit for an Accounts Assistant to join their finance team to support the wider finance function.

This will be a fantastic opportunity for personal development and career progression for any candidate wanting to pursue a career within finance and complete a relevant accountancy qualification. Not only would this be ideal for somebody familiar with ledgers wanting to get more exposure to daily and monthly accounting routines, but also for recent graduates looking for their first opportunity to work in a finance function!

You will be provided with support, mentorship and coaching from this employer to help you on your journey through finance.

Some of the responsibilities include:

• Daily bank and control reconciliations
• Setting up bank payments
• Supporting in month end finance processes including accruals and prepayments
• Processing supplier payments
• Contributing to and supporting on relevant projects

The ideal candidate will be/have:

• Relevant degree and/or early stages of an accountancy qualification (AAT/CIMA/ACCA)
• Strong Microsoft Skills (including Excel and Word)
• Positive and professional manner
• Finance and administrative experience
• Keen to pursue/continue an accountancy qualification
