Management Accountant | Manufacturing | Ripley| £40,000 - £50,000

Macildowie Finance is currently working on a position offering the opportunity to work for a leading manufacturing business, based in North Derby.

Recruiting for a Management Accountant, this job within a medium sized team will report to the Finance Director and will produce, review and complete monthly financial statements, Management Accounts, Cash flow reports and Tax returns. You will offer support and advice to the wider business and have very hands on involvement with manufacturing accounting and stock.

This role is based on-site 5 days a week - in Ripley - 0830 - 1700.

• Preparation of monthly management accounts for one business with four distinct manufacturing operations
• Responsible for monitoring of financial controls within the business units and always looking for improvement where possible
• Monthly management reporting of the key measures to operational and commercial teams e.g. production volumes; waste/scrap %; headcount; labour costs
• Monthly sales and margin reporting. With sales reporting presentation prepared monthly
• Annual budget and forecast preparation and reporting
• Preparation of analysis required during the annual audit
• Develop and analyse key measures and spot opportunities for margin enhancement
• Identify and report on commercial and operational risks
• Involvement in testing for upgrade and refinement of integrated Finance system
• Develop processes and structures to best support the business growth

What are you like?

• Qualified CIMA/ACCA or QBE with manufacturing experience
• 5 years experience in Finance, ideally 2 years + in Manufacturing
• Excellent attention to detail, accurate and diligent
• A thorough understanding of Double Entry Bookkeeping
• High degree of integrity
• Intermediate Excel skills including pivot tables and lookups and ideally some understanding of Macros
• Takes personal responsibility to deliver to tight timescales with a disciplined attention to detail
