Purchase Ledger Clerk

Location: Mansfield

Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £22,000 - £24,000 per annum

Position Overview:

As a Purchase Ledger Clerk, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and accurate processing of invoices, maintaining financial records, and supporting the finance department's day-to-day operations. Your meticulous attention to detail and strong organisational skills will be essential in contributing to the company's financial success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and reconcile supplier invoices promptly and accurately.
  • Match invoices to purchase orders and resolve discrepancies.
  • Prepare and process payment runs, ensuring suppliers are paid in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date supplier accounts.
  • Communicate with suppliers and internal departments to resolve invoice-related queries.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end financial closings.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the finance department.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in purchase ledger management or a related finance role.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
