Accounts Assistant / Coventry / Full-time / Permanent / £25,000 (to be reviewed annually) / flexible holidays

Macildowie are excited to be exclusively partnered with an SME business based in the Coventry area, currently recruiting for a promising and flexible Accounts Assistant position. This opportunity has huge promise of progression. The organisation is part of a larger group of companies trading throughout Europe, with a view for the successful candidate in this role to have total ownership of one of the company's Accounts in the near future as the company has expansion plans.

You will be part of an open team where information is shared freely and support is given regularly; whilst the atmosphere is social between team members so good communication skills, willingness to interact and a sense of humour is going to help you fit in!

Responsibilities:

  • Enter and process supplier invoices accurately and in line with company procedures
  • Supplier statement reconciliations, and identify/investigate any queries
  • Deal with supplier queries
  • Credit Card statement management and reconciliation of receipts
  • Process payment information on the financial system
  • Support for month end and year end accounts
  • Drafting sales invoices
  • Some responsibility to chase and process expense claims, and co-ordinate Payroll information such as time-sheets, noting annual leave etc.

What we need from you:

  • Experience using XERO financial software - highly desirable although experienced Accounts Assistants/Finance Assistants will still be considered
  • Adaptability and flexibility
  • Experience in a Purchase Ledger or similar Accounts-processing role
  • Willingness to undertake a variety of responsibilities
  • Willingness to stay with your next company for the long-term and to grow with them
  • Intermediate MS Excel skills
  • Great interpersonal skills
