Purchase Ledger Clerk

Location: Burton on Trent

Type: Full Time, Hybrid 3 days in the office & 2 days from home

Salary: £22,000 - £25,000 annually based on experience

Are you an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk seeking a permanent position? If you have a strong attention to detail and excel in tasks such as invoice processing and statement reconciliation, we have an exciting professional opportunity for you!

Role Overview:

As a Purchase Ledger Clerk, your main role is to ensure the accurate and timely processing of invoices and the effective reconciliation of statements, contributing to the smooth functioning of our financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing supplier invoices efficiently and accurately
  • Reconciling supplier statements
  • Handling supplier queries and resolving discrepancies
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions
  • Collaborating with the finance team to ensure the smooth operation of the purchase ledger function
  • Adhering to established financial policies and procedures

Qualifications and Skills:

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Proven experience in a Purchase Ledger Clerk role
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles
  • A positive and proactive attitude towards problem-solving
