This role will be reporting into the Finance Business Partner and you will have the opportunity to get involved and support with a wide variety of areas including: supporting the production of management accounts, involvement with budgeting and forecasting processes, audit and audit queries, system improvements and other changes and so offers great exposure to a variety of areas for your career progression.

Responsibilities
- Examine all components of service charge expenses to guarantee precise entries. Evaluate monthly accruals and prepayments, generating supporting journals, and rectifying any identified discrepancies.

- Conduct an initial assessment of the monthly trial balance in comparison to the approved budget or forecast, taking corrective measures for any errors or omissions.

- Distribute monthly scheme analysis reports to the business.

- Collaborate with colleagues throughout the organisation to detect and reduce instances of miscoding.

- Guarantee the seamless integration of actual costs into the Housing Management System for service charge calculation and adjustment.

Overview
- paying up to £33,000 with progression up to £34,650 within first 6 months
- 8% employer pension contribution
- 38 days annual leave including bank holiday
- 35 hours a week
- Hybrid working with 2 days per week based on site (North West Leicestershire)

Requirements
- Experience processing month end transactions up to trial balance level
- Excel - intermediate level - confident and experienced working with PIVOTS, IF's, VLOOKUP's etc
- Prior experience within a similar role within a finance setting
- Good interpersonal skills, coachable and willing to learn a new area of service charges (if you don't possess this knowledge already)

Desirable (but not essential)
- Service Charges experience
- Prior experience/ involvement with preparation of management accounts
- Experience supporting with budgets/ forecasts
