Job Description:

Macildowie is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Sales Ledger Assistant or Credit Controller to join a thriving business in Wellingborough. This company is the largest franchisee in its industry in the UK and is known for excellence.

In this role, you'll be part of a small team responsible and will be the sole person responsible for credit control and sales ledger. You'll work closely with General Managers and other support teams to ensure efficient handling of invoices, supplier payments, aging creditors, and bank reconciliations through phone and email communication.

This position is ideal for individuals who can quickly adapt or recent graduates looking to learn in a great setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Invoice Management: Prepare and send invoices in compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Payment Oversight: Monitor customer accounts, follow up on overdue payments, and collaborate with sales and customer service for issue resolution.
  • Credit Evaluation: Assess customer creditworthiness and recommend credit limits and terms.
  • Account Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies, including disputes.
  • Customer Communication: Provide statements, invoices, and promptly handle queries and disputes.
  • Management Collaboration: Work with senior management on bad debt provisions.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Generate and analyse sales ledger and credit control reports, offering insights to management.

Required Qualifications:

  • Credit Control Expertise: Proven experience in SME credit control.
  • Enthusiastic Approach: A passion for achieving success in the role.
  • IT Proficiency: Excel skills for data analysis.
