Purchase Ledger Clerk

Location: Burton on Trent

Type: Temporary (12 weeks) with the potential for permanent employment

Salary: Up to £12.82 per hour

Hybrid Working: 3 days in the office, 2 days from home

Role Overview:

As a Purchase Ledger Clerk, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of the organisation. This is a 12-week temporary position with the potential to become a permanent role for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing supplier invoices efficiently and accurately
  • Reconciling supplier statements
  • Handling supplier queries and resolving discrepancies
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions
  • Collaborating with the finance team to ensure the smooth operation of the purchase ledger function
  • Adhering to established financial policies and procedures

Qualifications and Skills:

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Proven experience in a Purchase Ledger Clerk role
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles
  • A positive and proactive attitude towards problem-solving
