Job Description

Macildowie are looking for a candidate to join one of our clients based in Burton on Trent as a Purchase Order Administrator (Indirect). In this role, you will support the wider business in purchase order processing and receipting to reduce non-conformance and ensure efficient procurement processes.

Location: Burton On Trent

Salary: £23,000 Annually

Hybrid: 2 days in office & 3 from home

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage purchase requisition process for accurate, relevant, and properly completed PRs, ensuring smooth approval and improved invoice processing.
  • Monitor and drive timely compliance of PO receipting through feedback with departments.
  • Handle general procurement queries and raise purchase orders as needed.
  • Maintain clear communication on the status of outstanding POs and promptly close old/unrequired POs.
  • Resolve non-conformance to the No PO No Pay policy with suppliers, in coordination with AP and business functions.
  • Support the resolution of invoice discrepancies and related queries.

Requirements

  • A-level education in a business-related subject and proficiency in English and Maths.
  • Experience in dealing with suppliers and customers.
  • Proficiency in computer systems, including Excel, Power BI, MS Office, and preferably D365.
  • Strong team orientation and effective communication with colleagues at all levels.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise, and manage time effectively.
  • Good analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective verbal and written communication.
