Senior Accounts Assistant/ Milton Keynes / Permanent / Up To £29,000 / Office Based

Are you an experienced finance professional with a passion for mentoring and a commitment to maintaining impeccable financial records? We are seeking a Senior Accounts Assistant to join our esteemed team. Here's an overview of the key responsibilities:

Role Overview:

  • Mentor and guide a team of purchase ledger professionals, providing training and support as needed.
  • Maintain consistent communication with hotel managers and staff, effectively addressing their financial inquiries and requests.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and hotels to resolve invoice and banking-related queries, ensuring a seamless financial work flow.
  • Manage cash books, receipts, and payments, maintaining precise and well-organised financial records.
  • Conduct monthly bank reconciliations in addition to daily cash and bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.
  • Generate daily revenue reports to facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Execute monthly purchase ledger payment runs, supplier statement reconciliations, and age creditor reconciliations to streamline financial processes.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Prior experience in mentoring or training within an accounts department.
  • Proven track record in a dynamic accounting team.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in computer applications relevant to accounting.
  • Unwavering attention to detail.
  • Methodical and organised approach to task execution.
  • Professional approach with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage tasks and prioritise workload.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A dedication to continuous process improvement.
  • Familiarity with Sage or Microsoft Dynamics systems.
  • Experience with Multi-Sight accounts.
