Interim Financial Accountant Opportunity - hybrid, Leicestershire

Macildowie Recruitment is actively seeking an experienced Interim Financial Accountant or Manager to bolster a highly successful and forward-thinking Leicestershire business during a pivotal phase in their journey!
In the role of interim Financial Accountant, you will be a pivotal player in the finance department, collaborating closely with the Head of Finance, the existing finance team, and the wider business.
Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Reporting and Controls: Coordination of financial reporting and fortify financial controls, ensuring adherence to both UK GAAP and US GAAP, in addition to meeting SOX requirements.
• Forecasting and budgeting
• Month-End Reporting: Oversee and execute month-end reporting processes
• IFRS16 and SOX Accounting: Expertly manage IFRS16 accounting matters and ensure compliance with SOX requirements.
• Inter company Account Reconciliation: Skilfully reconcile inter company accounts
• Statutory Account Preparation: Support with minimal supervision, the preparation of statutory accounts
• General Ledger Reconciliation: Ensure monthly reconciliation of central balance sheet general ledger codes
• External Auditor Collaboration: Collaborate with external auditors, providing necessary support during audits
• Year-End Processes: Assist the business through the December year-end process, aligning with UK GAAP and US GAAP requirements.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Experience as a Financial Accountant in a senior/managerial capacity.
• Previous experience in larger business environments with UK & US Gaap compliance
• Ability to work in this type of role with minimal supervision
• A finance qualification such as ACA, ACCA, or an equivalent.
• The ability to start at short notice.

This is a distinctive opportunity to contribute to the success of a dynamic business. The role will require on-site presence at their Leicestershire offices for only 1 or 2 days per week.
