Job Title:
Commercial Finance Analyst

Overview: Join our rapidly growing team as a Commercial Finance Analyst, where you'll play a vital role in our finance department. We're seeking a professional with a strong background in manufacturing or engineering, coupled with expertise in cost accounting and SAP functionalities.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Gather project information and develop detailed P&L, conducting comprehensive analysis.
  • Establish effective relationships with the Project Management team and apply a monthly rolling forecasting approach.
  • Conduct business evaluations, provide project cash flow forecasting, and prepare month-end transactions.
  • Generate variance reports, support system migration to SAP, and identify opportunities for process improvement.

  1. Cost Analysis and Modelling:
    • Conduct precise cost analysis for diverse product ranges, focusing on building efficient cost models.
    • Implement pricing structures and centralise cost models based on purchase orders.
  2. SAP Expertise:
    • Utilise SAP functionalities effectively, supporting system migration and addressing immediate cost-related issues.
  3. Collaboration and Communication:
    • Collaborate with the commercial finance team and cross-functional teams, ensuring streamlined reporting.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Degree, A-levels, and qualification in ACCA, CIMA, or ACA.
  • Experience: Prior experience in manufacturing or engineering finance roles with a focus on cost accounting.
  • SAP: Proven track record in utilising SAP functionalities for financial reporting and modelling.

Working Arrangements:

  • Location: Remote - 1 Day in London, with flexible arrangements.
  • Office Days: Tuesdays and Wednesdays for in-person collaboration.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • At least 2 years post qualification.
  • Experience in engineering or manufacturing finance roles.
  • Advanced Excel skills and fluency in SAP functionalities.

Personal Qualities and Competencies:

  • Self-driven and a good team player.
  • High attention to detail, advanced use of Excel for modelling/forecasting.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, good communicator, and reliable.
