Job Description

Position: Finance Business Partner

Location: Nottingham City Centre

Salary: £50,000

You've been looking for a Finance Business Partner role that is really front facing, with a focus on strategic decision making and partnering at the highest level.

This role will focus on the relationship building side with the bulk of the number crunching being done by your commercial analyst team.

Based out of stunning City Centre offices in Nottingham, reporting to the Head of Finance for a Services sector business with a focus on innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborative Decision-Making: Work closely with commercial teams, providing them with the financial insights needed for sound commercial decisions. Coach and challenge when necessary, keeping a close eye on team profitability, key clients, and structure.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Take charge of budget and forecast preparation for income and costs within your assigned teams. Ensure timely delivery of monthly reporting and contribute to the management information pack.
  • Data Analysis: Dive into income components, identify variances to budget/prior year, and pinpoint opportunities for profitable growth. Handle large volumes of data, turning inconsistencies into meaningful insights.
  • Collaboration and Development: Work closely with the Head of Finance and CFO, delivering financial information for strategy and board decisions. Collaborate with the Commercial Finance Analyst and contribute to their development.
  • Flexibility and Initiative: Ad hoc duties, including covering high-level responsibilities for the Head of Finance during absences.

Requirements:

  • Strong communication skills, with a proven track record in business partnering.
  • Part-qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA.
  • Experience in guiding strategic business decisions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
