Position: Finance Support Specialist/Assistant Accountant (Temporary)
Location: Loughborough

Responsibilities: As a Finance Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in assisting the head of finance and the wider team during the implementation of their new finance system. Your main responsibilities will include:

• Bank Reconciliations: Conducting accurate bank reconciliations, setting up bank payments, and recording essential accounting entries.
• Supplier Payments: Producing and processing supplier payments, while maintaining meticulous records of management expenses.
• General Ledger Support: Providing support in maintaining and reconciling the general ledger.
• Month End Processes: Collaborating with the finance team to ensure the smooth delivery of month-end finance processes.
• Supporting the finance team through a systems change to SageL50
• Regulatory Reporting: Assisting with regulatory reporting and financial accounting activities as required.

Requirements: To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills:

• Previous Accounting Experience: Demonstrable experience in various accounting functions, with a focus on reconciliations, general ledger activities, and month-end processes.
• Extensive experience with Excel and SageL50 is essential for effectively managing financial data and supporting the team.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial records and reporting.
• Team Player: A collaborative and supportive team player who can work effectively in a friendly finance team.
