Job Description

Our established Northamptonshire based global supply chain and FMCG client, a dynamic medium sized international business with an award winning reputation and a broad customer base, is currently looking to recruit a new Financial Controller. We are looking for a hands-on, technically, operationally and commercially minded qualified financial controller to be responsible for the day-to-day running of a well-oiled finance function and for maintaining tight and robust financial controls.

Reporting to the UK MD, the key responsibilities and deliverables of this exciting newly created opportunity will include; the management and mentoring of a slick and efficient finance team (including ledgers, payroll and systems);responsibility for the production of both consolidated management & financial accounts to group including the preparation and filing of annual statutory accounts, returns and audit processes; to prepare and present monthly MI and sales KPI's; to enhance and make more insightful (through MI and the best use of MS office tools) the analysis of weekly flash numbers including margin, labour, product and stock analysis, standard costs and customer spend, as well as to ensure the tighter control and management of banking and cash flow requirements. This role will also assume responsibility for producing and analysing monthly and quarterly budgets and forecasts as well and the delivery and execution of a new three-year business plan.

The successful candidate, a confident and financially articulate self-starter with over 5 years of hands-on post-qualification experience will be a driven and highly approachable Qualified Finance Manager / Financial Controller / Business Partner with strong interpersonal & communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as well as independently.

This role will require the successful candidate to challenge, facilitate and influence at all levels across the business. Strong analytical and reporting experience is highly desirable as is an aptitude for continuously improving systems and processes in line with providing strong and insightful commercial and business partnering to their UK sales and marketing teams.
