My client, a privately owned SME based in South Leicester is currently recruiting for a Financial Manager to join their expanding team. You will be the number 1 person in finance and report straight to the Owner/MD, you will play an instrumental part in the day to day running of the accounts team whilst managing and coaching junior staff members and play a pivotal role in their development.
You will not just be involved in the preparation of the monthly management accounts but you will also be heavily involved in the commercial decision making process.
Key responsibilities will include:
Preparation of the financial statements
Banking activities including bank recs
Preparation of VAT returns and VAT reconciliations
Liaising with the external auditors/accounts firm
Active management of the purchase and sales ledgers.
Prepare and analyse budgets vs actuals.
Building effective relationships with all external stakeholders and customers.
Be the go to person in the office for IT related queries from the wider team.
You will be/have:
QBE, ACCA/CIMA/AAT qualified
Strong Excel skills
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
