Payroll Manager| Permanent| Leicester | Salary Up To £50,000 per annum + Bonus

Macildowie is excited to be collaborating with a dynamic industry leading organisation based in Leicester to recruit a seasoned professional for the role of Payroll Manager. As an agency partner, we are committed to identifying top talent for our clients, and this role is crucial in overseeing multiple payrolls and payroll procedures, ensuring accuracy, compliance with laws, and fostering business relationships.

Position: Payroll Manager

Location: Leicester

Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum + 10% Bonus

Key Responsibilities:

Payroll Processing and Oversight:

  • Process, oversee, and direct multiple payrolls, ensuring accuracy and timely production.
  • Maintain compliance with contractual and statutory obligations.
  • Supervise the payroll team to deliver high-quality work.

Customer Service and Relationship Management:

  • Maintain proactive and positive working relationships with key customers and your team.
  • Address and resolve employee inquiries related to payroll and benefits.
  • Collaborate with HR and other departments to provide excellent customer service.

Reporting and Compliance:

  • Generate and analyse payroll reports to support financial and management reporting.
  • Ensure accurate and timely FPS and EPS submissions to HMRC.
  • Oversee the preparation and issuing of P60s and P11ds to employees.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead a successful payroll team, instilling best business collaborating practices.
  • Manage holiday approvals, appraisals, reviews, training, and other ad-hoc duties for the team.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Previous experience in payroll and people management, preferably in a high-volume or Shared Services environment.
  • Excellent Customer Service Skills with experience managing stakeholder expectations.
  • Strong IT skills, including advanced Excel (V-look ups and Pivot tables).
  • Experience with iTrent (including Sys Admin functions) and Workday payroll systems.
  • Ability to perform complex payroll calculations.
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous process improvement.
  • Advanced UK Legislation knowledge, including benefits and ERS.
  • CIPP qualification - Foundation Degree as a minimum.
  • Experience with P11d Processing, preferably with PAS System.
  • Desirable: US Payroll Processing and US Legislation Knowledge.
  • Desirable: BOXI Report Writing (SAP BI Launch Pad).
