Job Description

Macildowie Executive Finance are currently working on an exclusive and retained basis with a dynamic and rapidly expanding medium sized business based in Birmingham. As a leader in their industry, they are currently undergoing an exciting period of transformation and growth. To support their plans, they are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Group Finance Director to join their team.
You'll need to be able to work across multiple business critical projects, build relationships with a number of key commercial and operational stakeholders and build a best in class Finance function.
Responsibilities:
Lead the finance team and oversee all aspects of financial management across the group of companies.
Prepare and present consolidated financial statements and management reports to the board and senior management.
Provide strategic financial analysis and insights to support business planning, bids and tenders etc.
Collaborate with operational teams to monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics.
Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring adherence to relevant regulations and accounting standards.
Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and other professional service providers.
Drive process improvements and automation initiatives within the finance function to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Contribute to the development and implementation of the company's long-term financial strategy.
Requirements:
A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with extensive post-qualification experience.
Proven track record in a similar leadership role, preferably within a multisite organisation.
Strong technical financial accounting skills and an excellent understanding of group reporting requirements.
Demonstrated experience in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
Ability to analyse complex financial data and provide strategic insights to senior management.
Experience in managing and developing high-performing finance teams.
Excellent knowledge of accounting standards, regulations, and compliance requirements.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
Proactive and results-oriented mindset, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment.
High level of integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to ethical business practices.
