Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week with an early finish on Fridays

Location: Rugby, Warwickshire

Our client, a rapidly growing company based in the Rugby area, is seeking an experienced Purchase Ledger Assistant to join their dynamic team. As a Purchase Ledger Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in the finance department, responsible for standard purchase ledger duties, data cleansing, as well as providing guidance and help to a Purchase Ledger Apprentice (who has been with the business for 6-12 months).

This is a hands-on role where your expertise will hopefully contribute to some of the process improvements this company are looking to in the near future, as well as the development of one of the up-and-coming team members. This is not a standalone role, but you will need to show some initiative to succeed in this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and process purchase invoices accurately and efficiently.
  • Conduct data cleansing activities to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records.
  • Provide support and guidance to a Purchase Ledger Apprentice, fostering their growth and development within the company.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve queries and discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Assist with month-end processes and reporting as required.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of previous experience in a Purchase Ledger role, with a strong understanding of purchase ledger processes and procedures.
  • Ability to mentor and support a junior team member, demonstrating patience and excellent communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software - and ideally has some experience with at least one of the older, clunkier systems!
  • Proactive attitude with the ability to work autonomously and take initiative to improve processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with a commitment to maintaining high standards.

Please apply now with your most recent C.V. if your experience suits a position like this, and you could be interested in a temporary position with the opportunity to become permanent moving forwards!
