Finance Business Partner
Macildowie are supporting a successful Midlands business who require an experienced Finance Business Partner to join them covering a maternity.
As Finance Business Partner, your role will oversee month-end reporting consolidation, and be FP&A contact for coordination of key projects reporting to Head office. You will provide support across finance and operations teams, ensuring the delivery of the business agendas on Growth, Impact, Innovation, Green initiatives, Corporate Social Responsibility, and optimising revenue and profit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead significant implementations/projects within the relevant business unit, focusing on financial and operational KPIs.
- Oversee pulling together Month end reporting with subsequent consolidation
- Collaborate with finance, operations, and project management teams to maintain control and identify and mitigate commercial risks during implementations/projects.
- Develop and maintain regular reporting of Innovation savings, providing visibility on Green and CSR achievements, and project pipeline.
- Manage ad hoc projects ensuring clarity on forecast, delivery, and tracking of savings, contributing to Impact reporting.
- Drive profitability and margin improvement by analysing trends/KPIs with Business Unit Directors and operations teams, and implementing operational/commercial improvements.
- Implement global/regional initiatives
- Supervise 3 direct reports, providing management, engagement, and development support.
Requirements:
- Proven experience of financial principles, reporting, consolidation and analysis ideally within FP&A
- Project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and levels.
- Strong Excel and systems skills
- Leadership capabilities with experience in managing and developing small teams.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field, with MBA or professional Finance qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA) preferred.
At first this role will be office based with hand over provided, moving to hybrid working thereafter.
