Part-Time Assistant Management Accountant | £28,000 - £35,000 (FTE) | Derbyshire |

Macildowie Finance are working on an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Management Accountant to join the close-knit Finance team at a popular Historical Landmark in Derbyshire on a part-time basis. This is a newly created role as part of the shift to an in-house Finance team and is perfect for someone looking to balance a rewarding career in Finance with personal commitments. The expected hours are between 16 and 24 per week, with salary and hours negotiable for the right candidate.

What is the job?

  • Financial Analysis and Reporting: Prepare accurate financial information and analysis to support monthly management accounts reporting, including bank reconciliations and supporting management accounts pack reporting.
  • Ledger Management: Efficiently manage purchase ledger inputs, addressing and resolving any purchasing and supplier queries promptly.
  • Month End: Responsible for conducting month-end journals and performing reconciliations of bank accounts, credit cards, and online transactions.
  • Invoicing: Managing sales invoicing, including for property rentals, and providing essential support to colleagues with the ticketing system.
  • Payroll Data: Accurately prepare payroll data for use by the outsourced provider.
  • Team Support: Act as a supportive team member, aiding colleagues in various financial tasks and inquiries as and when required.

What you're like?

  • AAT qualified or part-qualified CIMA/ACCA, with proven experience in an accounting role.
  • Proficiency in Xero accounting software (essential)
  • Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles and practices
  • Experience using Google Suite (Sheets, Docs)
  • Organised, detail-oriented, with excellent communication skills
  • Experience with Dext is beneficial but not essential.

Package?

  • Salary of £28,000 - £35,000 (FTE), prorated based on actual hours.
  • 16-24 hours per week, with negotiable working patterns.
