Payroll Administrator

Blisworth, Northampton

Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Salary: £28,000 to £30,000 - Dependent on Experience

Are you a true Payroll generalist who is eager to take on the payroll in a varied role. Reporting to the payroll manager, you will oversee payroll for circa 600 employees. Are you looking to take full ownership of all things payroll?

Responsibilities:

  • Review errors, exceptions, and reports for payroll reconciliation.
  • Update leave types in system for accurate pay calculations.
  • Process pension deductions per Auto-enrolment and Pensions Salary Sacrifice/Exchange procedures.
  • Assist finance team with payroll reconciliation.
  • Address queries from Payroll Admin inbox.
  • Assist in preparing and issuing P60s to employees, providing details to Inland Revenue.
  • Support team members, including weekly payroll and audits.

Essential Skills:

  • Understanding of UK payroll practices, including legislative requirements.
  • Ability to perform complex payroll calculations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Motivated with ability to work independently or in a team.
  • Strong organisational skills, accuracy, and task management.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and Excel proficiency.
