Systems Accountant| Castle Donington | £55,000 - £65,000 + bonus and benefits | Hybrid working

As the Systems Accountant, you'll be the driving force behind the development and enhancement of core financial systems, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance. Partner up with top-tier leaders to streamline workflows, improve reporting functionalities, and support an ambitious Better Data Project. We're on the lookout for someone proactive, technically savvy, and experienced at managing stakeholders.

This role will play a crucial part in a dynamic global organisation as Systems Accountant, where you'll lead the development of financial systems and play a pivotal role in the integration of a new ERP solution. You'll need to have a track record of demonstrating high levels of accountability, be financially astute, with significant experience in systems implementations and configurations. Confidently working with internal and external stakeholders is a must.

About the Role:

As a Systems Accountant, you will be at the forefront of our client's finance systems development and integration. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and enhancing the current financial system (Hyperion) and integrating it into the new ERP solution (Infor LN).
  • Improving workflows and reporting functionalities within Hyperion to
  • Leading data cleansing exercises to improve auditing and archiving processes.
  • Building a more efficient month-end process for the finance teams.
  • Creating and maintaining process documents and providing regular training and workshops.
  • Acting as the first point of contact for finance systems and supporting the finance systems strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support financial projects, including the upgrade or replacement of the Hyperion system.
  • Liaise regularly with IT Business Systems Managers.
  • Enhance systems related to the month-end management account process and budget.
  • Manage ad hoc projects supporting the CEO, CFO, and Group FC.
  • Document all finance IT systems processes and provide user training where applicable.

What We're Looking For:

  • ACCA or CIMA qualification (desirable).
  • Proven experience in systems implementations and working with Hyperion systems.
  • Strong understanding of accounting concepts and manufacturing accounting.
  • A track record of delivering projects on time.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
