Assistant Management Accountant

Macildowie are working with a fantastic client based in Leicester who are a renowned organisation in the engineering sector, supporting them in their search for an Assistant Management Accountant. This is a permanent opportunity, offering a hybrid working model and based in Leicester.

This business has experienced significant growth over recent years, which is expected to continue in the upcoming future.

This role is ideal for a driven finance professional who is either part-qualified ACCA/CIMA, AAT qualified, or holds a relevant finance degree. You'll play a key role in monthly reporting, budgeting, purchase ledger control and supporting the audit process.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparation of monthly management accounts
• VAT returns and inter-company reconciliations
• Management of PO processes, purchase ledger, payment runs
• Supporting budget forecasts and audits
• Working with key stakeholders across finance and non-finance departments

The ideal candidate will have:

• Strong experience with management accounts & purchase ledger
• High-level Excel skills (VLOOKUP, PivotTables)
• A keen eye for detail and deadline-focused attitude
• Confident communication skills and stakeholder management
