Management Accountant

Macildowie are working with a client based in Leicester who are seeking to recruit a Management Accountant to join their established and growing manufacturing business.

This is a permanent position offering a salary in the region of £40,000 - £50,000 per annum, depending on experience.

The role operates on a hybrid working basis, providing an excellent opportunity to work for a company that values continuous improvement and professional development.

You will play a key role in providing accurate and timely financial and management information to support business decision-making. This includes budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis and KPI reporting, ensuring management has the insight to control operations effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation of monthly management accounts, financial statements, and performance reports.
• Development and monitoring of budgets and financial forecasts.
• Conducting variance analysis to explain deviations from budget.
• Performing cost accounting duties, including inventory reconciliation, journal entries, and variance analysis.
• Preparing and submitting quarterly VAT calculations.
• Supporting both internal and external audits.
• Collaborating with other departments to identify and drive process improvements.

About You:

• Qualified, part-qualified, or studying towards CIMA / ACCA / ACA.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is desirable.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
• Excellent communication, organisation, and teamwork skills.
