Temporary Accounts Receivable Assistant - up to £14.50 per hour
Location: Desborough, Northamptonshire | Hybrid working available (up to 3 days WFH)
Macildowie are working with this client based in Desborough, Northamptonshire on an exciting temporary opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Assistant.
This 6-month temporary role has come about due to an increase in international workload and the need to provide additional support to a busy and experienced Credit Controller, particularly during a period of annual leave cover. The hourly rate is up to £14.50 per hour, dependent on your experience within Accounts Receivable, particularly if you've supported international ledgers.
You'll be joining a collaborative finance team with a strong team ethic and a supportive manager who values development and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:
- Chasing aged debt, mainly by email, across a global customer base (Australia, New Zealand, Ireland)
- Processing and allocating incoming payments accurately
- Monitoring and updating customer credit limits and escalating potential risks
- Producing aged debt and debtor performance reports
- Assisting with month-end reporting and supporting wider finance processes
- Holiday cover and ad-hoc support to the Credit Controller and transactional finance team
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience in Accounts Receivable, Finance Assistant or Credit Control roles
- Exposure to international accounts or multi-currency ledgers is advantageous
- Confident using Microsoft Excel
- Proactive attitude with a willingness to support wider team tasks
- Comfortable communicating clearly and professionally by email and phone
