Macildowie are working with this client based in Corby, Northamptonshire to recruit a Graduate Finance Assistant / Accounts Assistant Apprentice for a unique opportunity within a privately-owned estate business.
This is a rare chance to join a deeply rooted, multi-faceted organisation operating across agriculture, property, and strategic land development. You will work as part of a small, close-knit team, supporting the finance function while studying towards your AAT qualification, with a view to progressing onto a full accountancy qualification.
Role Title: Accounts Assistant Apprentice
Location: Corby, Northamptonshire
Salary: National apprenticeship wage (dependent on age and qualification level)
Employment Type: Full time, permanent apprenticeship
Working Arrangement: Office-based, Monday to Friday (9am - 5pm)
Start Date: ASAP

Key Responsibilities
You'll provide finance support across several business areas, including:
- Processing purchase invoices, bank payments and receipts
- Month-end reporting for farms and board
- Supporting financial analysis and transactional reporting
- Supplier statement and bank reconciliations
- Producing BACS sheets, tenant rent receipts, and property activity tracking
- Assisting with reporting for holiday lets and other ad hoc tasks
- Collaborating with the Executive PA and Accounts Assistant
About You
We are looking for a detail-oriented and ambitious individual who is keen to develop their career in finance:
- Team player, proactive and IT literate (Excel proficiency essential)
- Strong communicator, well-organised and able to manage deadlines
- Not afraid to ask questions or challenge when appropriate
- Must hold a clean UK driving licence
Minimum Requirements:
- 2 A Levels (Grade C or above) or equivalent
- GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above)
