Finance Assistant
Location: Leicester
Contract Type: Permanent
Salary: Up to c. £31,000 (dependent on experience)

Due to continued growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Assistant to join their high-performing finance team based in Leicester.
This role is ideal for someone with transactional finance experience who is looking to progress within a structured finance function. It would particularly suit an individual studying towards AAT who is keen to develop their career further.
Key Responsibilities
Process and manage employee expenses in line with company policies
Support credit control activities, including assisting with customer queries and dispute resolution
Liaise with local and international finance teams to ensure accurate and timely financial information
Assist with audit preparation and documentation
Support month-end close activities to ensure reporting deadlines are achieved
Contribute to ad-hoc finance projects and continuous improvement initiatives
Provide flexible support across the finance team as priorities shift
Utilise finance systems and Microsoft Office applications to complete tasks accurately and efficiently
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Essential:
Previous experience within a transactional or operational finance role
Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and financial processes
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Strong organisational and time management skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a professional team
Desirable:
Studying towards AAT qualification
Experience within a manufacturing or multinational environment
Exposure to audit processes or month-end reporting

Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally
Willingness to learn and develop within a fast-paced finance environment
