Macildowie are working with a client based in Leicester within the logistics sector to recruit a Management Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business in a varied and hands-on finance role, supporting the Financial Controller and wider leadership team.

This position offers a broad range of responsibilities across management accounting, financial reporting and operational finance, making it ideal for a part-qualified or finalist accountant looking to develop within a dynamic business environment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparation of monthly management accounts and associated reporting in line with group deadlines
• Coordinating the month-end close process and preparing/reviewing journals
• Investigating and explaining financial variances against budgets and forecasts
• Performing monthly balance sheet reconciliations and resolving discrepancies
• Producing weekly performance reports and 13-week cashflow forecasts
• Supporting sales and purchase ledger functions during peak periods
• Preparing quarterly VAT returns and reconciliations
• Supporting audit processes and preparation of tax packs
• Contributing to financial controls and process improvement initiatives

You will ideally have/be:

• A part-qualified or finalist in ACCA/CIMA
• Experience working within a commercial or operational finance environment
• Strong Excel skills with the ability to analyse large datasets
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work across all levels of the business
