Job Description

Macildowie are thrilled to present an exciting opportunity for a HR Business Partner to join a brilliant Public Sector Education organisation on a permanent basis.

They are seeking a passionate, enthusiastic HR professional that will support and drive improvements in all aspects of the organisations People Strategy. This is a great opportunity for an individual who is eager to further develop their knowledge and skillset working in a business partnering capacity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive HR services to schools within the region and Head Office.
  • Contribute to developing HR documents and templates, ensuring consistency and compliance.
  • Coach leaders in managing employee relations issues effectively.
  • Support schools in managing local committees and maintaining a harmonious ER environment.
  • Provide expert HR knowledge and project management support for change management situations.
  • Develop reporting processes for performance indicators and input HR data into systems.
  • Contribute to the implementation of pay and reward schemes and provide support on payroll-related HR issues.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of training programs for schools across all generalist HR areas.
  • Regular travel within the region and occasionally to other locations as required.

Essential Requirements:

  • Fully CIPD qualified or equivalent HR experience.
  • Experience in providing complex employee relations/generalist HR advice.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of current HR legislation and national terms and conditions.

Desirable Requirements:

  • Experience working within an educational setting.
  • Experience with HR systems.
  • Training in job evaluation or psychometric assessments.

Salary & Benefits:

  • £40,000 - £47,000 per annum
  • 34 days annual leave (Including Public Holidays)
  • Hybrid working, 1 day per week at home

This is a great opportunity for a highly motivated individual with a strong generalist HR experience and a passion for making a difference in education. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, as well as a solid understanding of HR employment law and legislation.
