Job Description

HEAD OF REWARD (FTC)
Bedfordshire - Hybrid (1-2 days/week)

12-18 Month FTC

Competitive salary + Bonus + Benefits

We're working with a leading national brand to recruit a Head of Reward on a 12-18 month fixed-term contract. This is a brilliant opportunity to take ownership of a well-established reward function within a lean and collaborative people team.

You'll lead a small but capable team, partnering with the People Director and executive stakeholders to embed, refine and communicate reward initiatives that are already in place. This role suits someone who enjoys being hands-on, working within lean structures, and delivering both strategy and execution.

What You'll Be Doing:
- Leading reward, recognition, and pay architecture across the business
- Designing, delivering, and communicating reward initiatives and policy
- Embedding continuous improvement in a function that's already been through significant change
- Partnering directly with executive stakeholders to align reward with business priorities

What We're Looking For:
- A senior reward leader who thrives in a hands-on environment
- Strong internal comms capability-able to confidently lead messaging around reward
- Experienced in data-driven reward strategies and executive engagement
- Calm under pressure and focused on sustainable, long-term value

The Offer:
- Base salary: Competitive
- Bonus: Up to 30% (recently paid out at 95%)
- Car allowance: £7,000 or fully electric company car (EV)
- Flex Allowance: +5%
- Pension: 5% employee / 10% employer
- Private Medical: Family cover
- 25 days holiday + BHs and a range of additional perks

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys embedding and stabilising, not starting from scratch. If you value autonomy, transparency, and executive visibility, this will be a great match.
