Internal Communications Lead 12-Month FTC
Location: Leicester City Centre (35 Hours per week. Hybrid Tues -Thurs in office, Mon & Fri from home, one full remote week/month)
Salary: 36,000 40,000 DOE
Contract: Fixed Term (12 months, with potential extension to 18 months)
Macildowie are working with this client based in Leicester to appoint an Internal Communications Lead on a 12-month fixed-term contract, supporting a major business transformation programme launching in January 2026.
This newly created role is a fantastic opportunity to take the lead on internal communications activity, driving clarity and engagement across a diverse employee audience through change. Working with stakeholders at all levels from technical project leads to senior executives you'll play a key role in shaping how the organisation communicates its transformation journey internally.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver strategic internal communications plans to support the bank's transformation programme.
- Build communications templates, frameworks and reusable assets to enhance consistency and delivery.
- Translate complex or technical content into simple, clear, and engaging colleague communications.
- Create RACI and stakeholder maps, engaging with SMEs, HR, Marketing, and the Executive Team.
- Work collaboratively to define tone, look/feel, and messaging guidelines across campaigns.
- Ensure all internal messaging aligns with the bank's cultural values, regulatory requirements and communication best practice.
- Partner with HR and Marketing to align internal and external communications where appropriate.
What We're Looking For
- Background in Internal Communications, PR, HR Comms or Marketing.
- Experience developing internal comms plans, stakeholder maps, and communication assets.
- Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and interpersonal skills.
- Self-starter with a collaborative, detail-oriented approach.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel.
