Do you want to reshape how millions of children learn to swim?

This is a rare opportunity to lead the operational transformation of one of the UK's largest and most recognised learn to swim programmes, impacting approximately 1.8 million children each year.
Following a comprehensive programme review, we are seeking a change-oriented leader to modernise and relaunch the Learn to Swim framework, ensuring it remains relevant, commercially sustainable and aligned with today's leisure and aquatics landscape.

You will:

  • Lead the review and relaunch of the Learn to Swim framework
  • Develop a refreshed commercial and membership approach
  • Collaborate with school swimming and water safety leads to create a cohesive competency strategy
  • Line manage two regional development leads
  • Engage national leisure operators, swim schools and sector partners
  • Contribute to future digital and international growth opportunities

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has strong experience within aquatics, leisure or community sport
  • Understands the commercial drivers of leisure operators and swim schools
  • Is comfortable leading change in established systems
  • Can translate strategy into action
  • Thrives in collaborative, cross-functional environments

This is a national role with hybrid working and occasional travel.

If you're motivated by impact and want to help shape the future of swimming competency for the next generation, we'd love to hear from you.
