Macildowie are working with this client based in Leicester to recruit an experienced People Advisor into a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
This is a varied, hands-on generalist People role where you'll be at the heart of the operation, supporting managers and colleagues across the full employee lifecycle. You'll provide pragmatic, commercially focused advice while helping to create a positive colleague experience and ensuring people remain central to business decisions.
Working closely with the People Partner and wider People team, you'll act as a trusted first point of contact for managers, taking ownership of employee relations activity while coaching leaders to build their confidence and capability.
The Role
You'll provide day-to-day People advice and guidance across a broad range of matters, including:

Managing employee relations casework including absence, disciplinary, grievance and performance matters

Coaching and advising line managers on People policies, procedures and best practice

Supporting recruitment, interviewing, onboarding and exit processes

Supporting organisational change and consultation activity

Working with managers to improve colleague engagement, performance and retention

Supporting talent management, succession planning and colleague development
-
Promoting colleague wellbeing, inclusion and positive workplace behaviours

Producing, analysing and interpreting People data and metrics to support business decisions

Supporting temporary and agency worker processes

Helping ensure People processes, systems and records remain accurate, compliant and audit-ready

Supporting internal and external audits where required

Working collaboratively with Learning & Development colleagues to develop manager and colleague capability

Contributing to wider People projects and the delivery of the People plan
What We're Looking For
You'll be an experienced HR/People professional who is comfortable operating in a busy, operational environment and building credible relationships with managers at all levels.
You'll ideally bring:

Previous generalist HR/People Advisory experience

Strong employee relations case management experience

Experience advising and coaching line managers
-
Good working knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practice

Confidence handling disciplinary, grievance, absence and performance matters

Strong communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills
-
A pragmatic and commercially aware approach

Confidence working with People data and management information
-
CIPD Level 3 or equivalent experience
-
Experience within manufacturing, FMCG, food production, logistics or another fast-paced operational environment would be particularly advantageous
