Job Description
Macildowie are working with a respected charitable organisation based in Derbyshire to recruit a Fundraising Events and Partnerships Officer.
This is a permanent opportunity offering a salary of £27,000 - £31,000, with flexibility for both full-time and part-time candidates. Applications are welcomed from those looking for 3 days per week as an absolute minimum, although the preferred arrangement would be 4 or 5 days per week (35 hours per week max). The role offers hybrid working with up to 2 days per week from home, alongside time spent across sites and at events across Derbyshire.
This organisation plays a vital role in supporting local people and communities across the county, delivering meaningful services and creating positive long-term impact. They are now looking for someone who can help grow fundraising income, strengthen partnerships and deliver engaging events that raise both awareness and support.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships, creating opportunities and bringing ideas to life. You may already work in fundraising, or you could come from a commercial, partnerships, events or business development background and be looking to move into the charity sector.
The Role
You will lead on fundraising events and partnership activity, helping to grow income, supporter engagement and community presence.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering fundraising events including community events, dinners, challenge events and flagship campaigns
- Building relationships with local businesses, schools, donors, churches and community groups across Derbyshire
- Developing new partnership opportunities and identifying routes to generate income
- Supporting fundraisers and event participants to maximise results
- Creating compelling opportunities that encourage organisations to get involved
- Managing event budgets, expenditure and return on investment
- Working closely with internal teams on campaigns, marketing and communications
- Maintaining accurate supporter records, CRM data and reporting
- Representing the organisation at networking events and within the local community
About you
We are keen to speak with candidates who are proactive, personable and commercially minded, with the ability to build lasting relationships.
You may currently work in fundraising, events, partnerships, account management, community engagement or business development.
The successful candidate will likely offer:
- Experience building strong external relationships and networks (an existing Derbyshire network would be extremely attractive)
- Confidence presenting ideas and engaging new contacts
- Ability to organise and deliver successful events
- Commercial awareness and an understanding of generating income
- Strong organisational and administrative skills
- A self-starting approach with ideas and initiative
- Good IT skills including Microsoft Office and CRM/database systems
- A full UK driving license and access to a vehicle
