Job Description

Position: Supply Chain Manager

Location: Derby-shire

5 days on site

Salary: £55,000-£60,000

Role and Responsibilities:

As the Supply Chain Manager, you'll be at the heart of the operations, overseeing the three supply chain functions, procurement, materials and warehouse and scheduling as well as managing the entire supply chain process from raw material sourcing to delivering finished products. Your key responsibilities will include:

✓ Crafting Supply Chain Strategy: Develop and execute strategies aligned with our business goals to enhance efficiency and support growth.

✓ Procurement Excellence: Forge strong supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and optimize material costs.

✓ Demand Forecasting: Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to forecast demand accurately, driving efficient inventory management and production planning.

✓ Inventory Mastery: Implement effective inventory control practices, maintaining optimal stock levels while preventing excess and shortages.

✓ Seamless Production Coordination: Ensure production schedules sync with demand forecasts and material availability.

✓ Logistics Leadership: Oversee transportation, distribution, and order fulfilment to ensure on-time customer deliveries.

✓ Champion of Process Improvement: Continuously analyse and enhance supply chain processes to drive operational excellence.

✓ Team Empowerment: Lead, mentor, and develop our talented supply chain team, fostering innovation and continuous learning.

Candidate Requirements:

✓ Proven Supply Chain Experience: A track record of process improvements and results.

✓ Expert Knowledge: Strong grasp of supply chain principles, procurement strategies, and inventory management.

✓ Tech Proficiency: Skills in supply chain management software, ERP systems, and data analysis tools.

✓ Leadership Acumen: Experience leading and inspiring teams towards supply chain excellence.

✓ Mrp system experience
